It was wonderful to have former pupil and Paris Olympian, Megan Havers, deliver an inspiring keynote speech at our latest SCUBA business networking event. 

She explained her journey from trying Archery for the first time at a Haven holiday park to shooting in front of a partisan French crowd in Paris to reach the last 16 in the Olympic Archery Finals. 

This led to a table discussion of what attributes an elite athlete and an outstanding employee both share, as well as a discussion with our pupil business ambassadors about the types of skills & attributes employers are looking for in the workplace.

Further presentations were delivered by Gerarde Manley from LLBSP regarding the latest employment figures and the wonderful array of businesses linked to our enterprise zones, as well as Bill Cullen, CEO of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, highlighting the future developments expected in the local area.

Another fantastic event with almost 40 businesses able to network.
